FAQ

What if I Have to Cancel?

Scheduling Changes

We understand that plans can change, and we'll always do our best to be fair and accommodating.

Because we reserve the boat and crew exclusively for your charter, cancellations made within 7 days of your scheduled trip are eligible for a 50% refund of the charter fee. Cancellations made within 72 hours of departure are non-refundable.

Please note that booking and processing fees charged by our reservation provider are non-refundable.

If we need to postpone or cancel a trip due to weather, mechanical issues, or other circumstances beyond our control, we'll work with you to reschedule your cruise for another available date during the same season. Our goal is simple: to get you out on the Bay as soon as it's safe and practical to do so.

What About Bad Weather?

Weather Happens

Part of the charm of boating is being outdoors, surrounded by sun, sky, and water. Occasionally, Mother Nature has other plans.

We keep a close eye on the forecast and will always prioritize the safety and comfort of our guests. If weather or sea conditions are expected to impact your cruise, we'll contact you as soon as possible to discuss your options. In cases of severe weather, trips may be delayed, rescheduled, or canceled at the captain's discretion.

If conditions prevent us from safely operating your cruise, we'll work with you to find another date and get you back on the Bay as soon as possible.

What Should We Bring?

What Should I Bring?

Bring yourself and up to five of your favorite people, and we'll take care of the rest.

We recommend dressing comfortably and bringing sunglasses, a hat, and a light sweatshirt or jacket. Even on warm summer days, temperatures on the water can feel 10 to 15 degrees cooler once the breeze picks up.

We're a BYOB-friendly boat, and you're welcome to bring beer, wine, canned cocktails, snacks, or a picnic to enjoy during your cruise.

Cheese, fruit, crackers, and other easy-to-share favorites are always a good idea. Looking for something a little more special? Ask about our picnic basket and local catering options.

Our vessel operates under U.S. Coast Guard regulations and all applicable federal laws. Illegal substances are not permitted aboard. The captain reserves the right to end a trip without refund if a guest becomes excessively intoxicated or if prohibited substances are brought on board.

Our goal is simple: a safe, comfortable, and memorable day on the Great South Bay for everyone.

What Else Should I Know?

What about music?

We’ve got a Bluetooth-enabled stereo system onboard, so you can easily connect your phone or device and play your own playlists. With four Bose speakers in the cockpit, your favorite tunes will sound great - whether you’re setting the mood with.

Can we smoke?

Even though marijuana is legal in New York State, the waters we cruise are federally regulated, and under federal law, marijuana is still considered a controlled substance. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping our cruises safe, legal, and enjoyable for everyone.

Can we stay out longer?

Yes - if the weather and schedule allow it, we’re happy to extend your time on the water! Each additional 30 minutes is $50, and we’ll check in with you during the cruise if it looks like we can keep the good vibes going a little longer. Just let us know, and we’ll do our best to make it happen.

How many people can we bring?

Our boat is 26 feet long and has plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy the ride - but we do have a strict six-person limit per cruise. This isn’t about comfort (we’ve got that covered); it’s about safety and compliance. The limit is set by the U.S. Coast Guard, based on our vessel, our license, and federal regulations. It ensures that every guest has a safe, enjoyable experience - and that we all return to shore safe and sound.
