Firefly is a classic, 26-foot down east cruiser with the kind of timeless lines that turn heads at every dock. Warm teak accents, polished brass details, and traditional New England craftsmanship give her a character that's hard to find in modern boats.

More importantly, it's built for comfort, not speed. Her wide beam, molded keel, and proven hull design create an exceptionally stable ride, helping her glide smoothly through the waters of the Great South Bay. Whether we're cruising to the Lighthouse, heading for the flats, or simply drifting through a summer sunset, you'll feel secure, comfortable, and at ease.

With room for just six guests, the experience feels more like a day aboard a friend's boat than a commercial charter. Often described as an icon of New England boatbuilding, this down east "bass boat" has earned a reputation from the Northeast to the Caribbean for its beauty, seaworthiness, and enduring charm. We think you'll understand why the moment you step aboard.

Small Boat Charm

Firefly is small-boat-cozy without being cramped, intimate without feeling crowded, and perfectly sized for relaxing conversations, shared meals, and unforgettable sunsets.

Captain Jarrett

The Great South Bay has been Captain Jarrett's happy place since 1995. After serving six years in the U.S. Navy aboard the ballistic missile submarine USS Francis Scott Key, he returned home to New York and quickly became obsessed with life on the water. Since then, he's spent decades sailing, racing, cruising, clamming, fishing, and exploring every corner of the Bay.

When he's not aboard his own boat, he's often teaching boating and navigation courses or sharing his love of the water with new sailors. He holds an active USCG Master 25 GT license with towing and sailing endorsements, but his real qualification is simple: few things make him happier than a day on the Bay with family and friends.

His approach to chartering is straightforward: keep it safe, keep it comfortable, and help guests experience the Great South Bay the way locals do. Whether you're watching the sunset, floating in the flats, or cruising four knots to nowhere, he believes the Bay is best enjoyed slowly, in good company, and with plenty of time to appreciate the view.

Salty Crew: Alli

Meet the Mate

Alli wears a lot of hats aboard our boat. She's the mate, hostess, deckhand, trip planner, local guide, and occasional voice of reason when the captain gets another one of his ideas.

She's comfortable handling dock lines, helping guests aboard, setting up for a day on the water, and making sure everyone feels welcome from the moment they step on deck. Whether you need a hand with a cooler, a recommendation for a great waterfront restaurant, or an idea for how to make your cruise extra special, Alli is your person.

A longtime lover of the Great South Bay lifestyle, she's always on the lookout for hidden gems, local favorites, and fun ways to enjoy a day on the water. Looking for the perfect place for tacos after a sunset cruise? The best spot for a celebratory cocktail? A romantic surprise for a proposal? Just ask.

While Captain Jarrett handles the navigation, Alli helps create the atmosphere that makes a great day on the Bay even better. Together, they're committed to making every guest feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home on the water.
